More About Us

Serving Seniors is the leading provider of services to low-income seniors in San Diego County. Each year, we help nearly 5,000 seniors remain healthy and independent by providing a broad array of wraparound services at 10 sites across the County. Our services include nutrition, transitional housing for homeless seniors, health management and education, social services, lifelong learning, and civic engagement.

Our flagship service location, the Gary and Mary West Senior Wellness Center in downtown San Diego, acts as a "one-stop shop" for seniors in need, providing meals, nurses, social workers, fitness classes, and other daily activities 365 days a year. We also maintain two senior housing residences offering a combined 350 units of permanent affordable housing with on-site supportive services.

Since 1970, Serving Seniors has been transforming the aging experience through an innovative model of comprehensive services elevated by a commitment to civic engagement. Our executive staff advocates at the local, statewide, and national level for the betterment of low-income seniors, and we are excited to advance our advocacy efforts with our new Senior Leadership Development Institute.
