Your kindness will help us feed and care for those aging neighbors who want to remain in their homes & independent.
The Senior Hub offers a continuum of services that helps elders remain in their homes, independent and secure in their environment where they are most comfortable. Offering these services reduces the need for many of these individuals having to go into costly, tax supported (Medicaid) living facilities. These programs have been serving our older adult communities in Colorado for more than 32 years and with the help of our community friends we hope to expand that service.
Meals on Wheels ensures that seniors in urban Adams and rural Adams and Arapahoe Counties receive a significant percentage of the nutrition needed to stay healthy and independent in their homes; and enhances clients' welfare with contact and regular wellness checks. As many at 75,000 meals are delivered yearly throughout our service area.
Homecare Services provides frail older adults with in-home help needed to preserve their health and live safely and independently. This program also serves those families who are needing Respite Care which targets those individuals who are caring for a loved one 24/7 and need a break for themselves to regenerate.
Adult Day Service enables frail older adults to preserve their physical and mental health, enjoy socialization, in a safe facility which offers families structured programming in the least restrictive setting possible. This program is designed for the frail older adult who needs assistance and supervision allowing family to work, relax or recreate without having to worry about their loved one's well being.
Senior Solutions help older adults secure services that are available and appropriate to ease the aging process. Services like a Food Pantry with the older adult in mind who has special dietary needs, a Medical Equipment Lending program, and Handyman Referral services are a vital part of the services offered that help these elders to again, remain healthy, happy and aging in place, independently, for as long as they are able.
We also provide the local district programming for the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) where older adults, ages 55 +, can find meaningful and valued volunteer positions across Adams and Arapahoe Counties in Colorado. More than 600 volunteers provide more than 110,000 hours of service right here in our local communities annually.
