Our senior caregiver program is called "Rest A Bit Respite'. This program is designed to serve only senior caregivers. As HD is a dominant gene specific disease, there may be multiple generations within one family who are affected. In many cases the senior caregivers are taking care of their spouse, their adult children, and ultimately their grandchildren. This program will provide a much needed respite program for our senior caregivers who have spent their entire adult lives caregiving others. The number of senior caregivers who may be served will depend on the final net dollars that come in on this campaign. HDSCN wishes to thank GIVE65 for this amazing opportunity to serve our incredible senior caregivers with a respite program.
