A program of Home Instead Senior Care Foundation

For Nonprofits

Would you like to raise more money for your nonprofit?
Does your nonprofit organization serve aging adults?
Do you want to grow your organization's social media following?
Are you looking for a way to recruit more volunteers for your organization?

Would you like to increase awareness for your mission?

If you answered YES to these questions, then GIVE65 should be included in your organizations annual development plan. GIVE65 is the first crowd-fundraising platform that is exclusively devoted to helping nonprofits raise money online for programs and services that help aging adults age with independence and dignity.

A Catalyst For Social Change
As a nonprofit, you know how difficult it is to raise funds for programs and services that help aging adults in need. At GIVE65, we believe that we can inspire greater charitable giving in support of aging adults when we all come together united around this common purpose. By working together, we can increase social awareness and the capacity of nonprofit organizations to care for the growing aging population.

How to Participate

There are two ways your organization can participate on the GIVE65 platform.

  1. Participate in the annual GIVE65 Event
Apply to participate in the Home Instead Foundation's annual 65-hour GIVE65 Event. If approved to participate, your nonprofit will harness the power of generosity in your local community while competing for matching grants and financial rewards. All participating organizations are eligible for both matching funds and financial rewards. The application to participate in the 2021 GIVE65 Event is available by clicking the pink "apply now" button below. Please note: while the GIVE65 application is open year-round, we only review applications for the GIVE65 Event February 1 - May 31.

  2. Participate in the GIVE65 #GivingTuesday celebration
#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this international day of giving inspires people to give back in impactful ways. If approved to participate, your organization will be eligible for matching dollars. If your organization is interested in joining this global day dedicated to giving, please considering applying by clicking the button below. Please note: #GivingTuesday is Nov. 30, 2021. The application to participate is reviewed August 1 - October 15.

How It Works

The Home Instead Foundation provides social media and e-communications marketing to help increase awareness for your organization among an entirely new audience of potential donors. There is no cost to participate.

  • All GIVE65 donations are processed through the GIVE65 platform.
  • There is an administrative fee of 8 percent plus credit card processing fees (currently 2.2 percent) deducted from each donation to your organization.
  • Organizations can expect to receive approximately 90 percent of the total donations contributed.

To help make your GIVE65 efforts successful, the Foundation provides resources and support. Please review the GIVE65 Toolkit to see the tools and resources available to your organization.

GIVE65 Event Rules & Guidelines Overview

A complete list of Rules and Guidelines can be reviewed at Terms of Use.

  • Nonprofits seeking to participate in the 2021 GIVE65 Event must complete and submit the online application to the Home Instead Foundation. Applications will be reviewed February 1 - May 31.
  • At any given time while participating on the GIVE65 site, only one organization profile is available per tax identification number or charity registration number.
  • There is an administrative fee of 8 percent plus a 2.2 percent (currently) credit card processing fees deducted from each donation.
  • Participating nonprofits can expect to receive approximately 90 percent of the total donations contributed to them.
  • Matching grants and financial prize rewards may also be available to eligible participating nonprofits.
  • The Foundation will distribute any funds raised and any matching grants and any financial rewards awarded to participating Nonprofits on the following dates, as applicable: by August 31, for such funds raised and such matching grants and financial rewards awarded during the immediately preceding time frame of January 1 through July 31; by December 31 for such funds raised and such matching grants and financial rewards awarded during the immediately preceding time frame of August 1 through December 15; and by January 31 of the following year for such funds raised and such matching grants and financial rewards awarded during the immediately preceding year’s time frame of December 16 through December 31.

Matching Grants

  • All participating GIVE65 organizations are eligible for matching grants during the GIVE65 Event and GIVE65 #GivingTuesday celebration.
  • Every participating nonprofit is eligible for up to $5,000 in matching grants. This is a dollar-for-dollar match - as long as the larger pool of matching funds is still available - meaning nonprofits do not need to reach $5,000 and/or their fundraising goal to receive matching funds. Once all matching funds have been awarded, gifts will no longer be matched.

Financial Prize Rewards

  • Any financial prize rewards are awarded at 100 percent of their value.
  • The total amount of each financial prize reward is determined solely by the Home Instead Foundation's Board of Directors and contingent upon the amount of funds available for distribution.
  • All organizations invited to participate in the GIVE65 Event are eligible to be considered for any available financial prize rewards.
  • In connection with the annual GIVE65 Event scheduled for 2021, the Home Instead Foundation intends to award financial prize rewards to selected participating nonprofits in the total amount of $80,000 - to be divided evenly among two prize categories, with $40,000 available for each category. Nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive one financial reward and are not eligible to receive a financial reward in both prize categories.
  • Each of the two prize categories is further divided into thirds in an effort to recognize participating nonprofit organizations at various levels of operating budget. The prize categories are:

Financial Reward Category #1: Most Dollars Raised
operating budget less than $100,000 USD
operating budget between $100,001 and $500,000 USD
operating budget between $500,001 and $1 million USD
operating budget more than $1 million USD

Financial Reward Category #2: Most Unique Donors*
operating budget less than $100,000 USD
operating budget between $100,001 and $500,000 USD
operating budget between $500,001 and $1 million USD
operating budget more than $1 million USD

* Example: If one donor gives five different online donations to the same organization, the donor will only be counted as one donor for purposes of this prize category.

Volunteer Portal

We understand the value volunteers bring to nonprofit organizations, so that's why all participating GIVE65 nonprofits have the option to have a volunteer button on their GIVE65 online profiles. This allows potential volunteers the ability to submit their contact information online. Every time a volunteer submits their contact information, the administrator(s) of your GIVE65 online profile, will receive an email. You can also access all volunteer information through the admin portal. To launch your own volunteer portal, you must opt in to this feature while building your GIVE65 overview page.
