With your support, NSC can help older adults receive benefits to meet their daily needs.
One in three Americans over 65 do not have the financial means to meet basic needs such as food, housing, and medical care.
"NSC was beyond helpful and informative. They calmed my frustrations and eased my ignorance. They provided hope that things would work out."
Northland Shepherd's Center (NSC) connects seniors to benefits. Since November 2010 NSC has helped seniors receive more than 3.9 million dollars in benefits.
Programs are available from federal, state, and local resources to help lower-income older adults meet daily needs. Assistance includes:
• health care
• home safety modifications
Too many seniors are not receiving these benefits because they either don't know about them or how to apply. This leads many seniors to choose which necessity they are going to do without: meals, medications, utilities, or health care.
"This program is one of the best programs I've ever heard about. Since I've turned senior age I've been helped so much."
"Without NSC my husband and I would be so confused and not receiving the benefits that we qualify for. Thank you so much for this wonderful service."
"I don't know what I would have done without Northland Shepherd's Center's help. You have been so helpful to me and my mother."
"NSC is an asset above and beyond where I knew to go for help."
