At TRUST, we have 48 years of serving seniors in our community. We have the experience of having listened to our constituents as they have outlined their needs to stay in the community and age in place.TRUST, Inc. is a nonprofit, interfaith coalition of Minneapolis congregations that has served the needs of south Minneapolis since 1970. Utilizing the funding and volunteers from congregations and volunteers from the community, TRUST gathers people and resources to do "good works" in the community. This is particularly true of the aging population in south Minneapolis. The majority of our programs serve the elderly. TRUST has a solid record of providing quality programs to hundreds of older adults each year. Results of surveys consistently indicate that the people we serve believe they are more able to live safely and comfortably for a longer time in their homes and community than if they had not had our support. The goals of Senior and Caregiver Supports and Transportation Aid are: to alleviate the loneliness, isolation, and anxiety of caregivers with a presence of support, education and care, to provide education and resources on aging and caregiving, and to aid seniors' independence by providing prevention programs and transportation to and from the grocery store. To achieve these goals and help to maintain people aging in place, TRUST will provide caregiver services and education, provide prevention programs and grocery shopping assistance transportation services.
