H.O.M.E. is a one-of-a-kind organization that fosters joy, independence, and connection for older adults with low incomes by providing affordable housing and housing support services. Beyond services, we know that sharing a bus ride, a meal, saying hello, and sharing a joke or a story with others can make a difference. Serving seniors with warmth, connection, and joy is our particular expertise.
H.O.M.E. owns and manages three affordable intergenerational buildings where seniors choose between private apartments or, for those who desire more support and a family-like setting, Good Life Senior Residences. One of those buildings, dedicated to Good Life Senior Residences, is the Pat Crowley House.
In our buildings, families with children and young adults live alongside older adults. The younger residents take part in social activities such as community parties and some serve as Resident Assistants in our Good Life Senior Residences, where they help with household tasks too. At least 30 percent of the residents of each of our affordable buildings are young adults or children. Our founders pioneered this housing model in Chicago in 1983 so that people of all ages would benefit from forming connections with one another.
Help us renovate the Pat Crowley House! Your support during Give65 will not only help ensure that the Pat Crowley House is a safe and comfortable home for our residents, but it will also help build community for our residents and foster strong, intergenerational relationships.
