We are supporting the library by providing large print books, audio books, high interest non-fiction and fiction books for those library patrons 65 and over.
FRIENDS OF THE ORANGE PUBLIC LIBRARY 501(c)3) was founded in 1959.
We are a member-supported non-profit organization that raises funds and advocates for the Orange Public Library System. We are made up of community members that take an active interest in assisting the Main Library, Taft and El Modena branches to be a vital part of our Orange community. We strive to enhance and promote the use and enjoyment of our Library. We raise supplemental funding and actively support our Library's policies and procedures.
About 11% of the library's registered patrons are seniors, 65 and over and we estimate about 20% of the bookstore patrons are seniors.
The Friends of the Orange Public Library support the Orange Public Library in promoting the enjoyment of reading and the pursuit of lifelong learning throughout the community.
