The HOPE Team does amazing events for cancer patients. It's priceless to sit back and watch patients laugh and enjoy themselves at a dinner, move, trip, sporting events, bingo and so much more. The HOPE Team is lucky to be able to help cancer patients treating at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) here in Phoenix, , Arizona. The patients come from 15 different states. Many would be sitting in their hotel room if it wasn't for the HOPE Team. We make a full calendar of events so they can get out of their rooms. All of this takes fundraising to do what we can do for our patients. This year the HOPE Team had a big expense of $20,000. We had to buy a van to do our events. CTCA can no longer take our patients with a driver to events. With CTCA having budget cuts it made the purchase of a van very important. So as of today (5/20/19) our bank account is at $17,000. We have fundraising plans but it will take a while to make up $20,000. With the GIVE65 event I'm hoping this can make up for some of the expenses we have had. If anyone wanted to come out and talk about how the HOPE Team helps patients I'd love for that to happen. So you can here directly from the patients. The HOPE Team is so important to our CTCA patients they call me several times a week to find out what's going on. So they can plan their treatment around what the HOPE Team is doing.
The HOPE Team was given a card I leave on my desk daily: "Words could never tell you enough what you and the HOPE Team mean to our family. All the selfless hours you and the volunteers spend helping all of us patients forget for even a short while about cancer. It's such a blessing to us. I know God will richly bless you and the HOPE Team for all your hard work. We love and appreciate you more then you know". Pansy & Josh.
That pretty much says it all concerning the HOPE Team.
